We know the cost of hearing aids can be a sticking point. Let's be upfront about what's available.

The PRSI grant
Most working adults in Ireland (and their dependents) are entitled to up to €1,000 (€500 per ear) towards hearing aids through PRSI. This applies if you have the required number of PRSI contributions. We handle the paperwork for you so you don't have to figure it out yourself.
Health insurance
Some private health insurance plans cover part of the cost of hearing aids. Coverage varies significantly by provider and policy. It's worth checking yours. We're happy to help you find out and can provide whatever documentation your insurer asks for.
Honest pricing
We don't believe in surprise costs. Before you commit to any hearing aid purchase, you'll see a full breakdown of what you're paying for and what's included (the aids themselves, the fitting, follow-ups, aftercare, warranty).
If cost is what's been holding you back, please tell us. We'll work with you.
Talk to us before you decide. There's usually more help available than people realise.
Tax Relief
In Ireland, you can claim 20% income tax relief on the cost of prescribed hearing aids, repairs, and related maintenance like batteries as qualifying health expenses. You must deduct any PRSI Treatment Benefit grants or insurance reimbursements from the total cost before calculating your 20% relief. [1, 2, 3]
How to Claim Tax Relief
Keep your receipts: Save all your purchase receipts, Med 1 details, or statements from your audiologist.
Deduct other supports: Subtract any state grants (such as the €500 per aid PRSI grant) from the total expense.
Submit your claim: File your health expenses online at the end of the year using Revenue's myAccount service
