When hearing isn't simple,
we go deeper.
Whether your hearing journey is straightforward or more nuanced, this is the page for you. We welcome everyone, from routine fittings to cases where hearing aids didn’t work before, hearing loss is complex or fluctuating, one ear is very different from the other, or you’ve been told you’re a difficult fit.
Advanced hearing care is where we do our most detailed work. The longer assessments, the wider technology choice, the deeper expertise, and the patient follow-up that turns hearing aids from disappointing to life-changing.
Hearing aids: the real story
Modern hearing aids are remarkable. They're discreet, rechargeable, Bluetooth-enabled, and far smarter than they were even five years ago. They stream phone calls, music, and TV. They adjust automatically as you move from a quiet room to a busy restaurant. Many are barely visible.
But here's the truth most clinics don't say: a hearing aid is only as good as the person fitting it. The same hearing aid, fitted by a qualified clinical audiologist, can change someone's life. Fitted carelessly, it ends up in a drawer.
That's why we lead with the service, not the product.

How we work with hearing aid technology
Real ear measurements are standard, not optional. Real ear measurements or REMS are the only objective measure audiologists have to make sure a hearing aid is fit correctly. Most clinics in Ireland skip this. We don't.
We work with the full range of technology, not one brand. That includes Phonak, Starkey, Widex and others. Your needs decide what we recommend, not a brand quota.
We follow up properly. A hearing aid fitting isn't one appointment. It's an initial fitting, a two-week review, a six-week refinement, and ongoing adjustments as you adjust.
We offer trial periods on all hearing aids, so you can experience them in real life before fully committing.
The hearing aid styles we fit
At Walker Hearing Clinics, our aftercare doesn't stop once you walk out with your hearing aids.
Every client is covered depending on their warranty, and within that time you get unlimited check-ups at no charge, so your aids can be fine-tuned as your hearing or lifestyle changes. We also carry out annual hearing re-tests to track any changes and keep your devices prescribed accordingly.
If something breaks and needs to go away for repair, we'll lend you a loaner set so you're never left without support in the meantime, and any repairs or replacements needed during the warranty period are fully covered. Should an issue come up urgently, you'll get priority appointments rather than waiting for an appointment.
For times you can't get into the clinic, we also offer virtual appointments, so ongoing care fits around your schedule rather than the other way around.
It's aftercare built on one simple idea: no hidden costs, no gaps in support, just the help you need for as long as you need it.
Will hearing aids restore my hearing to normal?
No, and any clinician who promises that isn't being honest. Hearing aids amplify and process sound so you can hear better, more easily, and with less effort. For most people the difference is profound, but it's not the same as the hearing you had at 20.
